We buy records from the public at Vintage Vinyl, 56 High Street, Swadlincote. If you've got a box in the loft or you're clearing out a collection, here's what we look for.
What sells best
70s and 80s rock is the biggest seller in the shop, so that's always welcome. But we sell every genre, and people come in asking for all sorts, so bring the lot.
Condition is everything
A clean copy with a tidy sleeve is worth a lot more than a scratched one. Take the records out and have a look under a light. Scratches you can feel with a fingernail will usually be heard when it plays. Our grading guide shows how we grade.
First pressings
Original pressings of the right albums can be worth a fair bit more. Here's how to tell if yours is one.
How we price
We use various sources as a guide, but mostly it comes down to condition and desirability. We'll always tell you why we've offered what we've offered.
Bring them in
Pop in during opening hours:
- Monday and Tuesday 9am to 4.30pm
- Wednesday 9am to 3pm
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am to 4pm
