The Hornby Railways Zero 1 R950 Master Control Unit, the heart of Hornby's Zero 1 system and one of the first digital-style model railway controls. The box says it runs up to 16 locos and 100 points, with 4 locos controlled at once, 4 levels of inertia and permanent 18 volt AC in the track. Selected for the Design Centre London, as the sticker on the box shows.
Used and untested, sold as seen. It has not been PAT tested, so please have it checked by a qualified person before plugging it in. The unit looks clean, with all keys, the speed regulator and the loco cursor in place. It still has an original Ashton Models (Ashton-under-Lyne) dealer sticker on the front. Comes in its original box with the polystyrene inserts. The box is worn, with tears and missing card along the top edge. Please see all the photos, they are part of the description.
